The Gastro Lab provides a cost-effective solution for workspace by scheduling what is needed and when it is needed versus costly and lengthy leases. Through our various membership tiers, costs vary and allow for flexibility.​

MEMBERSHIP PROCESS

Schedule a Tour. We strongly encourage all interested parties to schedule a tour of the facility prior to submitting an application.

Review and complete the Membership Application and Agreement and sign the Signature Page. All applications will be reviewed by Short Street management. Completion of this form does not guarantee membership approval. The Program Manager will contact you to complete your membership.

Pay your non-refundable $150 Application Fee.

Provide a NC Business Registration and Certificate of Insurance. All Members must provide the facility with a NC business registration certificate and a COI.

Provide Regulatory Documentation. Please email us an electronic copy of your current North Carolina Department of Health Certificate or North Carolina Department of Agriculture Inspection Report. If you do not have the required regulatory documentation, the Program Manager will assist you in securing the proper documentation to begin the process once you have paid your security deposit and completed orientation.

Pay your Security and Cleaning Deposits. The Deposits must be paid prior to scheduling orientation. The Security and Cleaning Deposits cover any excess cleaning or damages to equipment due to misuse. It is fully refundable upon voluntary termination of membership in good standing and without incident.

Member Orientation. Once the application process is complete and deposits paid, each Member must schedule a time prior to their first rental time slot to go through a Member Orientation with the Program Manager. This generally takes 2 hours. Our team will provide a walk-through, covering equipment and safety instructions, facility rules and requirements, NC Dept of Health hand-outs and/or other pertinent materials. We will answer any questions you have regarding membership at Short Street.

Access Card. Once you have completed the orientation, you will be issued a key card for access to the facility during orientation. This card is to be used by the Member it is assigned to and cannot be used by anyone else. You may use the key card for access in loading in your supplies and equipment prior to your appointment to be permitted by the Forsyth County Health Department. However, your permitting must be complete and your online scheduling account setup prior to use of the kitchen and prep areas.

Create your online scheduling account. You will be given a link to set up your scheduling account to set up membership fee payment and scheduling.

Schedule an inspection with the Forsyth County EHS department. We can assist with the application process and provide all pertinent information regarding the facility.
